SOME BACKGROUND
This group modality is meant to take ‘healing’ and therapy to the next level, by becoming an ‘evolutionary tool’ meant to help one free oneself from layers of limiting conditioning (beliefs and feeling systems trapped in our body/mind). We will explore an inner journey from a ‘domesticated’ contracted existence to discovering one’s true identity and living from that; integrated and embodied in all aspects of one’s life.

This work is designed to go beyond ego psychology/psychotherapy or healing. It is meant to explore in depth both theoretically as well as experientially the issue of awakening from the dormant, unconscious and mechanical state of our being. The Fourth Way System is a practical map for realizing one’s true nature and fulfilling one’s full potential from the point of view of self-consciousness and the realization of the oneness of all things and all beings.

Although this approach is ‘trauma-informed’ and steeped in psycho-somatic processing work, the curriculum of this group is primarily based on the map of The Fourth Way System based on the teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff and P.D Ouspensky as well as The Direct Path of Advaita Vedanta (Non-Duality).

Although wanting to feel better and heal is a totally legitimate and necessary human endeavor, especially after having received our contemporary abnormal education and being raised in a basically unconscious world, this group is going beyond healing. This group is for people who are 'seekers of truth’ and who have a strong and mature ‘magnetic center’ (a part of our being that intuitively feels that there is much more to life than what meets the eye and is disappointed and disillusioned by the usual worldly pursuits).

As a rule of thumb, to be admitted to this group, one needs to have already completed a 9-week module of ‘Circle of Being Somatic Shadow Work’ OR to have engaged in prior psychological or consciousness (spiritual) work with Mihai OR to have a genuine deep interest and some experience in similar teaching containers.

This group is co-facilitated by Peter Ingle (who has written extensively about the overlap of the fourth way and non-duality) and we have regular weekly meetings as well as other activities such as formal dinners, one day immersions, retreats, etc. (in person and online in Nevada City, California)

Some of the areas of focus of this Fourth Way Study Group include:

  • A deeper intellectual and experiential study and application of core ideas of the Fourth Way System as well as Advaita Vedanta.
  • Suggestions for specific practices, exercises, weekly and monthly ‘small aims’:
  • Guided awareness, self-observation & self-remembering.
  • Basics of self-processing according to the Fourth Way System of the harmonious development of man.
  • Questions and answers.
