Urban Farm Volunteer Day: Just Roots in South Loop

It's a new year and a new growing season!

Come join us as we volunteer with Just Roots, an urban farm on the near South side that works in collaboration with communities to develop and expand access to local, sustainably grown food.

We'll be helping support their farm directly with our hands in the dirt, with such tasks as program support, infrastructure work, seeding & transplanting, pruning & harvesting, and composting. Tools and equipment will be provided.

Just Roots works rain or shine. There is limited waterproof gear available on-site and covered storage for personal belongings. Make sure to bring sunscreen, with shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. The following items are required: a filled water bottle, sunscreen, a snack, and a place to put your trash.
