Join us for a beautifully paced 4-mile walk (with around 300ft of gentle ascent), designed especially for visitors eager to step into the world of William Wordsworth and experience the landscape that inspired his most cherished works.
Led by experienced teacher and lecturer Salma, whose deep knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for the Romantic poet will bring the Grasmere of Wordsworth’s time vividly to life, this unique walking tour blends storytelling, literary insight, and scenic beauty. You'll learn how friendship, travel, and love for the natural environment shaped Wordsworth’s writing — all while taking in the very views that once stirred his imagination.

Waterproof jacket, sunhat, sunscreen — dress for the weather

Please note: young adults over 14 are allowed, but must remain under the strict supervision of their accompanying adult throughout.

🚻 Toilet facilities are available at the start in Grasmere and again around 15 minutes into the walk. There are no further formal toilets en route until the walk concludes.
