Surprise Lake Loop

Come join in us as we hike Surprise Lake Loop. This is a strenuous hike with an elevation over 1500 feet and just over 5 miles.

If you have poles, they would be put to good use here as there are many ridges to climb over.

Surprise Lake is about 3.6 miles in and a good spot for a quick break

The lot is directly across the street from the Greenwood Lake Marina. As you enter the lot you will see boats dry docked. Make sure you read the signs because you cannot park in a non designated spot. This lot is small with no place for overflow, which is why participation is capped. Strongly suggest you carpool. Also, perhaps a friend or family member can drop you off and pick you up.
