Butler / Kakeout Reservoir and Stone Brook Mountain Loop

Come Join me and my dog Roy for a moderately challenging 6.75 mile, full loop hike around the Butler Reservoir in Kinnelon NJ.

We will traverse the white and blue marked trails as well unmarked backwoods trails up and over the Stoney Brook mountain. We will probably see water fowl and other wildlife along the way. There will be rocky sections, smooth level sections, hilly sections and plenty of fallen leaves. We will stop for a bite afterwards if there is interest.

Pace about 2MPH
Elevation Gain = 620ft
Distance = 6.75 miles
Hiking boots should be required and poles optional.
