Details

+30 miles and +10,000 ft of elevation gain!!!

The most challenging of the 8 hikes of the North East Ultra Challenge, the Mahoosuc Traverse goes from Main to New Hampshire with numerous elevation changes. A highlight of this traverse is the well-known Mahoosuc Notch, a mile-long scramble through huge boulders.
From Grafton State Park in Maine to Shelbourne, NH, this Appalachian Trail hike has a little bit of everything, from ledge climbs towards majestic views to above treeline traverses encompassing strenuous rock scrambles.
