The most challenging of the 8 hikes of the North East Ultra Challenge, the Mahoosuc Traverse goes from Main to New Hampshire with numerous elevation changes. A highlight of this traverse is the well-known Mahoosuc Notch, a mile-long scramble through huge boulders.
From Grafton State Park in Maine to Shelbourne, NH, this Appalachian Trail hike has a little bit of everything, from ledge climbs towards majestic views to above treeline traverses encompassing strenuous rock scrambles.

Water sources: stream at mile 10 (Full Goose Campsite) and mile 20 (Gentian Pond Campsite).
We will meet at 447 Main St, Gorham, NH 03581 at 12:00 am. Then carpool to the Grafton Notch Parking Lot (44.590302, -70.946444) on Rt. 26 to start hiking. It is a 45 minutes drive between trailheads. This hike is entirely on the Appalachian Trail (white blazes).
