Most data quality initiatives don’t fail due to weak tools or technology, they fail because they lack a clear connection to business value. We spend a lot of time discussing how to implement data quality and which tools are good, but rarely pause to ask 'why it should matter', 'who' should truly own it or 'how' should we communicate about data with everyone.

In this session, I’ll share practical frameworks and real-world lessons from my own experience and book Data Quality ROI, exploring questions like: Why does business engagement in DQ remain elusive? Who should own DQ - IT or the business? And how can we bridge that gap?

The participants are also introduced to simple yet powerful “Engagement Mantras” that turn common sense into common practice. We will also challenge common misconceptions and revealing the often-invisible truths behind data quality, and reframe DQ as a measurable driver of ROI, trust, and decision-making excellence.
