Data Vault modelling challenges and how to prevent the obvious failures

In this session Remco will discuss the biggest challenges people face in Data Vault modeling. Based upon his experience with multiple organizations, discussions with fellow data modellers and reviews of existing data vault implementations.

Of course reviews are mainly to be conducted when an organization is faced with an issue. During this session Remco will not only address the issue but also give a way to overcome these issues and more importantly to prevent these.

Some of the topics to be discussed:
How to deal with relationships? when there is an optional part in the relationship, different kinds of relationships between the same concepts and granularity issues. How to get the data our of the Data Vault again? What can be done to make retrieving data easier? How to deal with multiple timelines, late arriving data and intra batch changes?

This session will also give you the opportunity to ask your own personal Data Vault modelling challenge. Remco is happy to provide a solution or an approach to get you on your way (again).
