Synopsis
As AI adoption accelerates, global regulations (GDPR, EU AI Act, etc.) demand ethical data processing. This talk explores how Privacy-enhancing Technologies (PETs), such as federated learning and differential privacy, help bridge the gap between privacy compliance and data-driven solutions. We will examine how several key PET solutions work and discuss their potential issues. Finally, we will discuss the challenges facing wider PET adoption.

Bio:
Jianshu is a veteran in data science and AI, having entered the field before its rise to prominence.

In his early career, he earned his Ph.D. and conducted academic research, producing several highly cited papers in social media analysis.
In the second chapter of his career, he helped enterprises develop and deploy data science and AI solutions, gaining experience across technology, consulting, and finance sectors.

Currently, he focuses on helping organizations mature their AI development and deployment while strengthening their AI governance practices.
