Dublin canals cycle
Details
Today we cycle along Dublin’s two canals, the Royal and the Grand, with a lunch stop in the town of Maynooth.
75km. Flat.
Once bustling transport routes carrying people and goods across Ireland, the canals are now peaceful green corridors — an oasis of calm that offer a traffic-free escape from the city and a beautiful route for cycling
🔴The path includes stretches of hard-packed gravel and, in a few short sections, rougher gravel surfaces, adding a touch of variety to the ride.
- We leave from outside the convention centre at 930am sharp.
- We cycle to Maynooth where we stop for coffee
- On then through Celbridge, and Hazelhatch and back along the Grand Canal
** all going well we will be back in Dublin by 3pm
Please wear a helmet and bring a tube, etc, in case of a puncture.
Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment.
