What: Join the East Tennessee Wanderers for a walk along the Emory Valley and Melton Lake Greenways in Oak Ridge, TN. We will have both a 10K (6.2 mile) and a 5K (3.1 mile) walk. The walk is on paved greenways with minor elevation changes (less than 100ft). AVA ranking would be a 1A. We will also plan to have an optional lunch at Calhoun's on Melton Lake or Big Ed's Pizza following our walks for those who are interested.

When: The 10K walkers leave at 9:00am and the 5K group will leave at 10:00am on Saturday, March 14th, 2026. Try to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure for registration.

Where: We will meet in the parking lot near 697 Melton Lake Drive, Oak Ridge, TN, 37830. Look for the "Neon Green Shirts", as we will be your guides for this walk. The optional lunches at either Calhoun's on Melton Lake, 100 Melton Lake Peninsula, Oak Ridge TN or Big Ed's Pizza, 101 Broadway Ave., Oak Ridge, TN will start about 12:00pm.

Registration: This is an American Volksport Association (AVA) sanctioned club walk and we have a modest $3.00 fee per walker payable to the walk leader to cover sanctioning fees and insurance costs.

Pets are allowed on the walk & outdoors at Calhoun's restaurant.
