What we’re about
Welcome!
This is a ladies-only social group for the 30+ crowd who are looking to build lasting friendships in the the greater East Wake/Johnston County area.
We will have dinners, brunch, book club, wine nights, movies, theater, hikes, weekend trips, etc… Have an idea? Suggest it! If you're excited about it, chances are others will be too.
This group is about more than making plans, it's about showing up for each other and making meaningful connections. That's why we have an attendance policy to help keep things respectful and fun for all.
Here's what that means:
- If you RSVP "Yes," we're counting on you to be there - both for logistics and because we'll miss you.
- Please avoid last-minute cancellations (within 24 hours of the event) unless it's truly unavoidable. Last minute cancellations will be considered a no-show.
- If you're on the waitlist and know you can't make it, please update your RSVP accordingly so someone else can take your spot.
- Members who no-show three times may be removed from the group, simply to keep things fair for everyone putting in the effort to show up.
We're here to build a community of women friendships, one Meetup at a time. Hope to see you at an event soon!

Join WFD, Inc. and FTC's incredible cast of storytellers to learn about the restless spirits that make up just a small piece of downtown’s haunted history."2 attendeesLet's Explore Downtown Wake Forest
White Story Cafe, 113 S. White Street, Wake Forest, NC, USLet's explore Downtown Wake Forest. We've been to Downtown Zebulon so let's learn about another town in the area.
We will start with brunch at White Story Cafe. It is a cute little spot in Downtown Wake Forest and shares a larger dining area with the Burger Shop. Menu
The Farmers' Market will be open until noon. Then there is the NC General Store, The Cotton Company, B&W Hardware and more shops on White Street. Page 158 Books is a short walk away as is Lumpy's. There are some murals around the town too.
There is no set schedule besides brunch so come just for that or stay longer and explore some of the town.
Parking is free downtown, either on the street or in one of the lots. There is a parking lot across the street on S. White Street and another nearby in between E Jones and Wait. I will post a map. Wake Forest has several one-way streets and a few parking spots have time limits but most don't.

NC Medical Society Building, 222 N. Person Street, Raleigh, NC, USThis event requires that you pre-register to secure your spot. It is very popular so will sell out. Ticket Link (you will need to select October 19th)
"The historic Oakwood neighborhood is the oldest neighborhood in Raleigh at least partially outside of the downtown. On this tour, you will learn how much of the Oakwood neighborhood was almost destroyed in the 1970s.
In addition to seeing the major architectural styles in the neighborhood, this route will also introduce you to some of the minor architectural styles that are found in Oakwood. We will see several gorgeous Second Empire homes, and we will even take a look at three houses that may have been purchased from the Sears Catalog in 1912. We will also explore the small area of commercial buildings located on N. Bloodworth St."
Meeting Spot: We will start on the sidewalk outside of the North Carolina Medical Society building at the corner of N. Person St. and E. Lane St. The closest address is 222 N. Person St. The tour will end approximately 3 blocks away from the starting point.
Parking: There is plenty of free street parking is available in the Oakwood neighborhood on Sundays. Several of the streets in Oakwood are one-way (including both Person St. and Lane St.), so please keep that in mind when you are looking for parking. A great place to park would be in the 400 or 500 blocks of E. Lane St. because that will put you right in between the starting and ending points of the tour!
This event is a walking tour! We will NOT be entering any of the homes on the tour; we will be viewing the exteriors only. In addition, there will not be any restroom breaks or stops for food/drinks.
You will pay the tour guide directly at the end of the tour. $15-20 is the suggested cash payment.
