Join me for a full-day hike around Lake Mountain Marysville, through snowgum woodlands, towering Alpine Ash, and spectacular alpine views. While snow isn’t expected at this time of year, the trails are alive with Mountain Hickory Wattle, Mountain Bitter Pea, and a colorful carpet of tiny alpine flowers.

Challenges include steep inclines and declines, with slippery, rocky, and occasionally boggy tracks. Gaiters and long pants are recommended to safely navigate fallen trees and overgrown sections.

Getting there:
Lake Mountain Alpine is a 2-hour drive from Melbourne CBD, From the eastern suburbs, take Maroondah Highway through to Yarra Valley, Black Spur to Narethong. Turn off towards Marysville. From Marysville, its about 30mins up Lake Mountain Road to the resort.

Please do not RSVP to any Eastern Hiking & Adventure event unless you are fully committed to attending. It is your responsibility to check the date, distance, and difficulty of the walk before RSVPing. Members who frequently withdraw at the last minute, fail to show up, arrive without being on the "going" list, or behave disrespectfully towards leaders or fellow members will be asked to leave the walk and may be removed from the group. All leaders are unpaid volunteers who invest a great deal of their own time to plan and research each walk. Their efforts deserve respect and consideration. Organisers do their best to minimise waitlists where possible, and priority will be given to reliable members who attend regularly and contribute positively to the group experience.
