This challenging loop trail near Healesville, Victoria, covers approximately 25 km with around 1,250 metres of elevation gain. Rated as a hard hike, it can take up to 8 hours to complete, making it a demanding full-day adventure. Be sure to come prepared with plenty of water, food, appropriate clothing, and a good level of fitness.
Please do not RSVP to any Eastern Hiking & Adventure event unless you are fully committed to attending. It is your responsibility to check the date, distance, and difficulty of the walk before RSVPing. Members who frequently withdraw at the last minute, fail to show up, arrive without being on the "going" list, or behave disrespectfully towards leaders or fellow members will be asked to leave the walk and may be removed from the group. All leaders are unpaid volunteers who invest a great deal of their own time to plan and research each walk. Their efforts deserve respect and consideration. Organisers do their best to minimise waitlists where possible, but note that repeat no-showers, members who repeatedly cancel last minute, and those that are not respectful towards the leaders or fellow members will not be considered first.
Fitness Level
A very good level of endurance fitness and the ability to maintain a good steady pace is required to complete this hike. Due to its challenging tracks and distance, the hike would be classified as Grade 4.
