Mt Baw Baw Plateau/Walhalla camping weekend
Details
Join us on a weekend of hiking and camping in Gippsland.
We will be camping on the Friday and Saturday night at Seninis Campground, Moondarra State Forest. This campground sits on a beautiful bend in the Tyers River, where you can float along in an inner tube. It has a toilet but no showers. Fires are allowed except during total fire bans.
Directions to the campground:
From Melbourne, take the Monash Freeway (M1) east toward Gippsland. Exit toward Moe/Trafalgar and follow Moe–Erica Road (C105) through Moe, past Trafalgar, and on toward Rawson. Moe-Erica Road becomes Moe-Rawson Road as you come to the turnoff for Seninis Track. Turn left onto Seninis Track Entry (as pinned) and follow the unsealed road 1.5km to the campground by the Tyers River. If in a 2WD, drive at walking pace.
Note: The pin marks only the start of Seninis Track. Google Maps can be confusing if you search for the campground directly, so it’s best to navigate to the pinned location and then follow the track to the campsite.

It is your responsibility to check the date, distance, and difficulty of the walk before RSVPing. Members who frequently withdraw at the last minute, fail to show up, arrive without being on the "going" list, or behave disrespectfully towards leaders or fellow members will be asked to leave the walk and may be removed from the group. All leaders are unpaid volunteers who invest a great deal of their own time to plan and research each walk. Their efforts deserve respect and consideration. Organisers do their best to minimise waitlists where possible, and priority will be given to reliable members who attend regularly and contribute positively to the group experience.
