The two tech hubs of San Francisco and Sydney are set to square off in a high-stakes chess machine learning hackathon. After successful inaugural events in each city, the best AI developers will now compete head-to-head to develop the most innovative and powerful chess engines using the latest advancements in machine learning.
If you think you have what it takes, join Sydney Machine Learning and Strong Compute for a hard core weekend to make the best Chess playing AI.
Event Highlights:
- Hands-on experience with rapid iteration cluster training
- Access to 48 GPU clusters
- $10k-$100k compute grant for the winning team

Saturday, 31 August:
- 11:00 am: Coffee, breakfast + networking
- 11:30 am: Set-up, onboarding, test training run + inference
- 12:30 pm: Competition begins
- 2:30 pm: Lunch
- 6:00 pm: Dinner
- Late: hacking
Sunday, 1 September:
- 9:00 am: Day two start, breakfast
- 12:30 pm: Lunch
- 1:00 pm: Final submissions
- 2:00 pm: Competition begins
- 4:00 pm: Winner announced
