Bird Watching along the Rio Alberche, Embalse de Picadas
Detalles
A new location for the bird watching group, as we explore the river, woodlands and hillsides of the Rio Alberche. This is a pleasant, flat walk, which goes over bridges and through tunnels.
Birds of Prey are one of the principal attractions here, and with look we could see different types of Eagle including Spanish, Golden and Bonelli´s.
Meet at 9am at the "Aparcamiento del Camino del Embalse de Picadas" and the walk will last 3-4 hours. Bring sturdy shoes, binoculars, warm clothes and a cup of coffee, although I will bring some spare.
I´ll take the telescope to hopefully give us nice views of the different species. Guiding is in English and Spanish. This route is quite accessible by car and there are buses as well (551). Contact me on 638135998 for any questions. There will be a 5Euro voluntary contribution as always.
