Chasing Aurora in Summer | Southern Lights | One Photo with the Stars

**Please note that this event is not open for photographers (no option to bring Camera/GoPro). Cameras and large tripods aren’t allowed due to past accidents that led to damaged cameras/lenses and injuries in the dark. We will be taking photos of people with the Stars/Aurora. Feel free to bring a small tripod if you're using your smartphone for photos. Please note that you setup the tripod away from where the group shots are done.

With any Aurora Hunting events, the chance of spotting an Aurora is less than 5% as there are many factors involved. Also, it's expected to be partly cloudy in Southern VIC. Please carry a warm jacket as it is expected to be very cold (11-12°C). This trip involves a shared uber/taxi besides train on the way there. On the way back, it will be a shared uber/taxi as trains would have stopped running. We will form uber groups at the meeting point. The cost details can be found in the description below. Please note that all our events are only open to guests 18 years and older. Please note that Trybooking tickets will only be refunded if the event is moved to a new date or cancelled. Trybooking Tickets are non-refundable. There is no option to also transfer the ticket to a new date.

Payments are managed through Trybooking and not Meetup. You will see an "Unpaid" status on your RSVP. The only thing you need is the Trybooking ticket which you will receive by email.

Meeting Point: Let's meet in the Corner of Spencer Street and Bourke Street (Station Side - Near the steps) at 7:30 PM. Please don't be late. Driving to the destination is not an option for any of our stargazing events. We should be back in the CBD around 2 AM on Wed, 10th Dec.

We will take one solo photo of everyone with the Stars. These events are not aimed at photographers.

Temperature: Please carry a warm jacket, beanie and anything to keep you warm - The more the layers the better. The temperature is expected to be around 11-12°C.

Food: There are no shops in the destination. Please carry snacks and water. This is an alcohol free event.
