Welcome to Explore Melbourne - The largest and the most active meetup group in Melbourne with over 36,000+ members. We are also the largest group in Australia.
Our group is for anyone interested in exploring the wonderful city of Melbourne and surrounds together. We run a combination of Free and Paid events. We have organized over 2500 events since September 2016.

Join us on a day trip to Phillip Island (incl Penguin Parade). We will be hiring a bus with a driver.

Meeting Point: Let's meet in the Corner of Russell and Flinders Street (Federation Square Bus Loop) at 10 AM. We should be back to city around 9:30 pm.

The Nobbies: Stunning coastline walk - it's all on an elevated boardwalk so it's easy to do. All of the elements blend beautifully together, from the ocean's colour to the massive waves crushing against the rocks.
Penguin Parade: The Penguins are expected to arrive a little after 5:45 pm. The Phillip Island Penguin Parade is one of Phillip Island's most popular attractions. The world's largest colony of Little Penguins is found on Phillip Island.
Phillip Island Chocolate factory:
Woolamai Surf Beach: With its ancient pink granite surroundings, Woolamai Surf Beach is one of the island's most picturesque spots.
Forest Caves: There are sea caves formed by erosion of the cliffs that can only be explored and accessed during low tides.
Pyramid Rock Lookout: Pyramid Rock is one of the most fascinating attractions located on Phillip Island. The rock stands out against the azure waters of Bass Strait.

I take one solo photo for everyone with the Milkyway. These events are not aimed at photographers.

The Milky Way Galaxy is one of the most interesting naked eye sights in the night sky. We live under light-polluted skies, and to see a glimpse of the Milkyway, we need to travel outside the city. We run Milkyway events near Melbourne (40-50km away) and events in premium locations (over 80-100km from Melbourne CBD). We will mention premium events on the title of the event. Please only attend this event if you can keep the location a secret.

Everywhere in the Dandenong Ranges will be awash with bright autumn colours and fallen leaves in late April/May. We will be visiting Alfred Nicholas, George Tindale and Dandenong Botanic Gardens.
George Tindale Gardens - One of the more beautiful gardens in the Dandenong Ranges. This picturesque gardens boasts enviable collection of rare and exotic plants and flowers, set under the shelter of the massive Mountain Ash Trees.
Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens - The gardens are known for their picturesque waterfalls, water features and its iconic ornamental lake and boathouse.
Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden - 36-hectare garden with extensive paths past diverse plants, trees & water features, plus a cafe.
