Welcome to Explore Melbourne - The largest and the most active meetup group in Melbourne with over 38,000+ members. We are also the largest group in Australia.
Our group is for anyone interested in exploring the wonderful city of Melbourne and surrounds together. We run a combination of Free and Paid events. We have organized over 2500 events since September 2016.

We are heading to a treasure of Victoria's coastline - The Mornington Peninsula. We will be hiring a bus with a driver. Spots are limited.
Please follow these two steps to confirm your spot:

* Flinders Blowhole - An absolutely stunning place of natural wonder. A short walk from the parking down the stairs.
* London Bridge (Event photo) - Natural bridge carved from soft sandstone by thousands of years of wind, waves, and water. 🚻
* Rye Ocean Beach - Popular surfing beach due to numerous reef breaks along the long stretch of exposed sandy coast. 🚻
* Cape Schanck - Stunning landscapes with unspoilt and wild beaches. 🚻
* Diamond Bay - An impressive display of sandstone cliffs that have been transformed into unique designs.
* Coppins Lookout - One of the features that strikes you upon approaching Sorrento's stunning surf beach (Back Beach) is Coppins Lookout, a majestic lookout set high above the beach. 🚻

- Epic Trip to See the Northern Lights in Tromsø during Solar Maximum [Aurora]Melbourne Airport, Melbourne AirportA$299.00
We're off to Europe to chase the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in Tromsø, Norway, during Solar Maximum! Solar Maximum occurs roughly every 11 years when sunspot activity peaks, giving us the best chance to catch the Aurora in all its glory. If the skies are clear, you can spot the Aurora in Tromsø even with a Kp index of 1, since Tromsø is directly beneath the Aurora Oval. Tromsø sits at 69°N latitude.
The estimated costs are in the event description below. This is our second adventure in Tromsø. If you're in Europe and want to join us for just a few days, send me a message. I'll send you a separate Trybooking link where you pay per day. I'll have my camera with me and would be happy to snap a few photos of you with the Aurora!
This trip starts from Melbourne on the 25th Oct evening, and we get back to Melbourne on 10th Nov. Since 5th Nov is a public holiday, you will need nine days of annual leave to do this trip. Please ensure that you don't need a visa for the Schengen Area before signing up for this trip, as the organizer fee is non-refundable. You are welcome to fly into Tromsø from any part of the world.

Coffee, Talk, & Make Friends event is aimed at members who are new to Explore Melbourne. We will be only accepting RSVPs from members who have attended 10 or less events with Explore Melbourne.
