Victorian Fabians Annual Dinner: 'Is The Australian Dream Slipping Away?'
Details
Topic: For many Australians, a better life is no longer a given. The cost of living remains high, wages are struggling to keep pace, and economic productivity is flatlining. Add climate change, global uncertainty and the disruptive force of AI, and the future looks increasingly uncertain. What’s gone wrong, who is being left behind, and how can we put a brighter future back within reach?
Speaker: Dr Greg Jericho is currently the Chief Economist at the Australia Institute and has been a columnist for Guardian Australia since 2013. A former public servant, he is the acclaimed content creator of the political commentary blog "Grog's Gamut” and is also the author of The Rise of the Fifth Estate: Social Media and Blogging in Australian Politics.
