What we’re about

Welcome to Fabulous Gay Super Men Over 40
Curated by organiser Chris P, with the support of a passionate and experienced team of assistant organisers.

🌈 About the Group
This group brings together like-minded, social, and forward-thinking gay or bisexual men — primarily over 40 — who want to connect, explore, and enjoy Sydney (and beyond) in great company.

Whether you’re new to the city, looking to expand your social circle, or simply want to make new friends in a relaxed, welcoming environment — you’re in the right place.

📅 What We OffeR
We host three or more events every month, designed to provide variety, fun, and connection:

  • Mid-week dinners at Sydney’s best value and most exciting restaurants
  • A regular lunch series for casual, daytime socialising
  • Scenic walks on weekends or evenings — easygoing and social
  • Drinks events at bars, rooftops, and other relaxed venues
  • Cultural outings including theatre, cabaret, exhibitions, and live shows
  • Day trips (e.g., Cabramatta food tours, wine tastings, beach escapes)
  • Weekend getaways for deeper connection and shared experiences

Events are rotated across different suburbs, and venues are always accessible by train, ferry, bus or light rail.

✅ Event Etiquette & Waitlists

  • If an event is full, always join the Waitlist — spots often become available closer to the date.
  • We send reminders to help members keep their RSVPs up to date.
  • Regular no-shows without notice may receive a follow-up from the organisers.

💳 Payments
Most events are managed through TryBooking, which is simple, secure, and avoids PayPal fees.
Some smaller events may require payment via PayID, so it’s useful to have that set up in your banking app.
Cash payments are generally avoided.

👥 Group Expectations
To help keep the group welcoming, enjoyable, and respectful for everyone, we ask members to:

  1. Be friendly, inclusive, and respectful
  2. Act with integrity and kindness
  3. Stay open to new people and experiences
  4. Avoid promotion of services, businesses, or events without prior approval
  5. Engage in constructive and positive communication
  6. Challenge ideas respectfully — never individuals

🌏 Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise that we gather on Aboriginal land.

Thanks for being here — we look forward to welcoming you at an upcoming event.
