Vilano Beach to Guana River

Details
We'll launch at the Vilano boat ramp, located on the west side of the Vilano Bridge (that crosses the ICW), then paddle north up the ICW. We'll venture into the Seaport Basin for a look around, then into Casa Cola creek, where we'll attempt to paddle all the way to the mainland pier (1.6 miles). Then on to the shelly bluffs of Guana SP, where we'll cool down, swim and have lunch. High tide occurs near 10:30 am at Vilano so we'll have the push of that incoming tide in our favor. Once the tide reverses course we'll head back south toward Vilano. Approximately 8-10 miles each way.
Arrive in time to be in the water by 9:00 am.
Total distance: approximately 16 miles
Total time on the water: 4 - 5 hours
Trip difficulty: intermediate (due to open stretches along ICW)
