About us
Welcome to the Florida Sea Kayaking Association Meetup (FSKA Meetup) website! We are a kayak club that uses Meetup for communication, event scheduling, and dues collection. We are not a business, nor do we have rental kayaks available.
Our club operates under the Common Adventure Model which means that you are responsible for your own skills, equipment, decisions and safety. Everyone in the group watches out for each other. We purchase liability insurance which requires everyone to sign a liability waiver. It is a sport with risks and you assume responsibility for your own safety.
Members must sign the insurance waiver when joining and again at the beginning of each calendar year. There is a 30-day free trial period in which to pay the dues the first time.
JOINING
How to Pay Dues: Dues are collected through Meetup and Stripe credit card processor.
Log into Meetup.
Click the 'Join this Group' in the Red Box on our FSKA-Meetup home page.
It will take you to Meetup/Stripe where you may pay the $20 dues by credit card anytime during the free 30-day trial membership. If you pay the dues they will not be collected until the 30 day trial ends.
