Kayak Simpson Creek South to Fort George Inlet Beach
Details
We will paddle south four miles on Simpson Creek with the lowering tide to the Fort George Inlet Beach. We will get out of our kayaks for about an hour for lunch and an optional swim and/or hike. We will then paddle north to return to PADL Amelia with the rising tide. Simpson Creek is a winding creek in a salt marsh. You will see fish jumping fish and a variety of birds.

Please arrive about 9:00 am. We will launch about 9:30 am.
PADL Amelia charges $5 plus sales tax per kayak to launch.
There is a restroom in the PADL Amelia office.
Please bring a kayak, personal flotation device (PFD), whistle, water, sunscreen, lunch, a snack, or a chair if you would like a chair for the lunch break.
Time on land and water: 4.5 - 5.0 hours
Paddling Distance: 8 - 9 miles
Low Tide Noon, High Tide 6:20 pm
If your plans change, and you will not be going, please change your status from "going" to "not going" on the Meetup page for this event so we have correct information regarding who will be going to the event.
Please check this Meetup website after 5 pm the day before the paddle to see if there is a postponement due to a bad weather forecast. If a postponement is not posted by 5 pm the day before the paddle, we will paddle the next day at the scheduled time.
