You might have heard of Functional Programming, or even Reactive Programming - but what happens when you combine the two? Functional Reactive Programming is what you get - a relatively young paradigm for structuring your applications, with a rich history in academia and something many developer communities are interested in.
In this talk I will walk through the history of FRP, why you should care and how it makes your applications better. I work with and contribute to ReactiveUI, a .NET library for various XAML and Mono* frameworks that implements many FRP concepts, which will be used for much of the demos, but I'll also use some other languages you may not have heard of!
