Railway reserves heritage trail. Bellevue - Darlington - Bellevue

Details

A popular heritage railway trail which a section of this was linked Fremantle to York in the 1880's. This is quite a long track so we would do it in stages.

https://www.railwayreserves.com.au/Documents/Railway%20Reserves%20Heritage%20Trail%20brochure.pdf

Note: there are no toilets at the start. If you are someone who needs to go right before the start, you will need to stop at the service station first. Otherwise there will be a toilet stop at Boya(3.6km into the trail) or Darlington

We will start at Bellevue, head to Darlington and return to Bellevue. This is 5.7km there and 5.7km back. So in total 11.4km. This is a fairly easy trail.

We meet at 8:30am and make a move at 9am

Plan to stop halfway and have a coffee/something to eat at the Hive Cafe Darlington

NOTE: if there is rain forecast, the walk will still go ahead, unless in the event there is frequent heavy showers or the rain will affect the safety of the walk depending on the track chosen. So make sure you have wet weather gear handy just in case!

Dogs are permitted on this trail except for the Swan View and Parkerville section. That runs through John Forest National Park., but unless all people on the trail are happy, keep the dog on a lead at all times.
