Are you looking for a partner dancing class where you can learn how to slow dance, boogie, bust a move or just feel more confident on the floor with your partner? This meetup is designed to support our LGBTIQ community by offering same-sex partner dancing classes and social dancing events.
We create meetups for the LGBTIQ community and explore all different dance styles and genres from the street dances of Latin America to the floor sweeping moves of Ballroom and everything in between and beyond. This group is suit for people who have little to no experience in dancing right up to the seasoned professional. We have a different events to cater for all skill levels.
You'll have the freedom to choose to learn to 'lead' or 'follow'... or even both over time! So if you've ever wanted to learn dance styles such as Salsa, Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot, Samba, Swing, Jive or Merengue in a safe and inclusive environment, join this group and attend one of our fun meetups.
Single? Partner not keen on dancing? That’s OK, come along anyway, there are others just like you attending so you won't be alone. There is always someone to dance with. The classes also progressively rotate so that you will have a chance to meet and dance with others.
Current classes are held in Darlinghurst (near Taylor Square) on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm and will run for 1 hour, this class will be catering for beginners. After the class, feel free to finish with a drink or a meal upstairs, or stick around for the Intermediate Class for a bit more of a challenge, kicking off at 8:00pm to 9:00pm.
Price for admission is $20 per person each class (mention the password for a 20% discount on your first class), or $30 to attend for both classes on the night.
