See all- Downtown Acworth and Allatoona Lake 6.25-Mile Loop (plus dinner/brewery)Acworth Community Garden Parking Lot, Acworth, GA
Enjoy small town charm for an early summer walk through historic downtown Acworth and Lake Allatoona. We'll start at the parking lot in front of the Acworth Community Garden then hike through Logan Farm Park before cutting across to a few local historical markers and walking atop the pedestrian bridge over the railroad. We'll then walk some new and historic neighborhoods to a forested area which will take the lakeside trail and cross a series of pedestrian bridges which skirt Allatoona Lake before heading to the downtown area. Lastly, we’ll stop at a local brewery for dinner and a drink at Red Top Brewery, 4637 South Main Street. From there, it is .7 miles back to parking lot.
My hiking style is slow and steady with stops for breaks, snacks, brewery stop w/dinner and to enjoy the views. For flat hikes like this I’ll hike a leisurely 2.5-2.9 mph.

- Vineyard Mountain/Allatoona Dam from Riverside Park 5.3 MilesRiverside Dayuse Area (along Etowah River), Cartersville, GA
Enjoy late Spring views as we walk lakeside up to the Allatoona Dam overlook from Riverside Park. We'll descend up and down Vineyard Mountain along the shores of the Allatoona Lakes. The trek has a combination of terrains and is considered moderately challenging, taking about 2-2.5 hours.
My hiking style is slow and steady, taking periodic breaks and enjoying our surroundings. We'll meet at Riverside Day Use Park at the third parking lot on the left before setting off for the Vineyard Trail/Allatoona Dam Overlook Trailhead for this out-and-back trail. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Small parts of this trail are exploratory for host. If it's warm, bring a bathing suit to dunk in water. Option to eat after for anyone interested.
