Get Together and Go Out Hampshire (GetGo)

Starting from the car park we will walk through Holly Hill woods down to the shoreline. We will then walk along the River Hamble to Warsash where we will stop for coffee / cake. We will then retrace our steps until we reach Universal Marina. We will then take a different footpath back into Holly Hill woods and to the car park.
Please note that i am not a walk leader and this walk will be a group of friends walking together , each of is taking responsibility for our own safety and wellbeing .

The walk is approximately 5 miles with no stiles along good footpaths. It may be muddy in places depending on the weather so suitable footwear is advised. There are some small inclines in Holly Hill Woods but otherwise flat

The buffet is served beween 12 and 2 so we could do a couple of laps around the lake afterwards 🙂

We are normally situated either on the right-hand side (as you enter the pub) under the TV screen or towards the back of the pub. Just look out for the games on the table,

Meals are available at the venue, if you intend eating please arrive early to enable the games to start by 7.15 p.m. As the meetup is held on a commercial premises there is an expectation that all attendees will patronise the bar.

Welcome to the third GTGO Wetherspoons wander. A walk calling in at 5 of the 6 Spoons pubs in Portsmouth and various charity shops.

Meet at 930am at the Isambard Kingdom Brunel in Guildhall Walk. We can have breakfast there to fortify ourselves for the journey ahead. The plan is to spend an hour there, then onto the Lord Palmerston, Southsea; the John Jacques, Fratton; the Sir John Baker, North End; before finally finishing at the First Post, Cosham, and calling in at various charity shops en route if they wish. The idea is to spend 30 mins in each of these pubs. I recommend people download the Wetherspoons app as this will speed things up if they are busy. I also suggest people wear walking boots or sturdy shoes for walking between the pubs.

We're aiming for more of a 9 mile walk with pit stops than a boozy afternoon, although we can spend a bit longer at the last pub in Cosham if people wish.
