Local Walk: Rugeley Junction & Colton (train friendly)

Brand new public transport friendly figure-8 route across local countryside to the north-east of Rugeley and Colton.

Logistics:
Meet: 10:15 check-in for prompt start within a few minutes once all visible are ready
Distance: Around 8 miles
Start Point: Road entrance to Rugeley Trent Valley Train Station on the B5013 (WS15 2HQ) with limited parking either there or in local streets to the west of the nearby A51.
Trains: Check thetrainline.com for journey times from Birmingham and Lichfield etc. probably cheaper then fuel.
Terrain: Mix of local gently undulating countryside, passing a few pools, with a stretch of the Staffordshire Way.
Refreshments: Bring fluids and picnic lunch, with a pub stop after about 5 miles in Colton.

As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.

Places are not unlimited, so withdrawing in the last 24 hours is impolite. Attendances shouldn't be compromised by ghosting (no-shows, late withdrawals).
