Sound Meditation
Details
#### Join Sound Healing Practitioner Carolina Lamartine Norville for this meditative, therapeutic experience designed to promote healing, relaxation, and mindfulness.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited. Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, starting 30 minutes before the event. Attendees must be present to receive a pass.
Participants “bathe” in the sounds and vibrations produced by a variety of instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes. Also known as sound healing or sound baths, the immersive experience can help people to relax and let go of stress or anxiety. The vibrations can encourage a state of deep relaxation and meditation, promoting inner stillness and healing.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a floor mat, yoga mat (and pillow if desired), or whatever helps you be comfortable lying on the floor. A limited number of yoga mats are available for people who do not have one. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit.
Doors will be closed at the start of the meditation session, and no late entry is allowed.
People with certain conditions including schizophrenia, epilepsy, narcolepsy, and pregnancy should not participate in sound baths without consulting their doctor. Some people with tinnitus may experience oversensitivity to the sound vibrations.
