4.5mi Hike with Spectacular Views! Pisgah National Forest, Canton, NC

Join Us for a 4.5-Mile Hike with Spectacular Views!

Whether you're a new member or a long-time member, this event is perfect for anyone looking to meet new friends or connect with old ones. :)

We'll take the Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) through the beautiful Pisgah National Forest until it connects with the Devil's Courthouse Trail. There are beautiful views along the way, then it's a half-mile climb to the Devil's Courthouse peak. This rocky area is named after the legend that the devil held a court in the cave here.

Hike Details:
• Trails: Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) to Devil's Courthouse Trail
• Distance: 4.5 miles (out and back)
• Elevation Gain: 700 ft
• Pace: Easygoing and social — we’ll take time to enjoy the views and the company!
• Recommended: Sturdy footwear, water, and a sense of adventure!

Carpool:
Meet at 8:00 AM at the Traveler’s Rest Walmart (near the garden center). Look for Jodi, who will be wearing a red baseball cap.

If you prefer to drive yourself, please arrive by 9:30 AM at the Mountain-to-Sea (MST) Parking Lot, located just before the MST Trail Crossing on Lake Logan Road, Canton NC (Route 215). (Directions: From Brevard, take Hwy 276 to the Blue Ridge Parkway, turn south on the Parkway for 11.3 miles to Hwy 215, and turn right (north) onto Hwy 215. The parking area is on the left about a quarter-mile down the road, and the trailhead is about 200 yards further down on the left. )
