Warden Woods (5.1 km)

Details

It's a Monday hike! Restaurants are usually closed on Mondays but it won't matter for this hike because there are only two notable restaurants in this area, and they're open on Mondays.

Warden Woods is a small tract of pristine forest that's shielded by subway tracks. It doesn't get a lot of traffic, even from the surrounding houses, because there's no access to the ravine except at the ends. That means it'll be a peaceful hike through summer greenery.

We'll whiz through the woods and the neighbourhood around St Clair Avenue East and Pharmacy Avenue. There's not much to see here. There was Toronto's strangest house but it's demolished now. Not much to eat either, so we'll head quickly to the restaurant at the end of the hike.
