Easy biking and Swimming in Tai Po

It’s a cozy event, easy biking form Lung Mei Village to scenic Plover Cove Reservoir Dam followed by swimming/sunbathing in Lung Mei Beach. Optional for dinner when back to Tai Po .
Plover Cove Reservoir Dam is “the first reservoir in the sea over the world” while “second largest reservoir in Hong Kong”, quoted from Water Supplies Department. Many international competitions are held there, including triathlon & marathon. Biking or running there is stunning! Enoch's first Triathlon race was held there too!
It’s planned to rent bike from a cycling store in Lung Mei Village. Please be prepared to pay in CASH ($40-$250+). Bike-store owner will require your identity number & deposit for guarantee. Total fee will depend on your choice of bike.
After biking, we walk to Lung Mei Beach for swimming where shark prevention nets are installed. There are light refreshment kiosk, changing room, shower facilities & shaded pavilion*. Let’s* swim & rest there, cherishing the charming Plover Cove.

Route & schedule*:* Bus 275R from Tai Po Station — Lung Mei Village — bike to Plover Cove Reservoir Dam(2.5K+) — return bikes (until 3pm) –Lung Mei Beach (until 5pm) —Tai Po Station
Date: Sunday 29 June 2025
Time: 12:30pm PROMPT, Exit A1, Tai Po Station (Blue line, NOT Shatin, NOT Tai Wai)
Then we’ll queue the bus 275R. No late comers please, unless you want to pay a taxi.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Your sports attire has to cater for the above-mentioned events
No radios. No guests.

2. A hat & sunblock, umbrella for sunbathing in case
3. At least 2 litres of water/energy drinks & power bars/snacks
4. Sweat cloth
