The Art of Blur
Details
Let’s this time try to learn the art of blur and create some interesting images.
The idea is to take shots in-camera that are partially or wholly blurred, not to add blur to the photos afterwards by photo editing.
You may apply one of the many photographic techniques like motion blur, deliberate defocus, panning, long exposure, intentional camera movement… in order to create artistic effect.
There is a plenty of free material online, like youtube videos, on the subject; so please do some research on the theme and see how and what you would like to do on the day of shooting to make your photography experience worthwhile (also have a look at some of the example photos added in the event's album for your reference).
Meeting Time and Place:
3.30pm, at Exit F1 Causeway Bay MTR station (street level)
We will meet and then move in small groups in the Causeway Bay area around Sogo, Bowrington Market, Times Square taking pictures and then regroup for a drink, socialising and photo sharing 5pm onwards at Preface Coffee & Wine, 11 Sharp Street East, Causeway Bay (close to the Times Square).
Please post YOUR BEST FIVE IMAGES only for this outing on the meetup site after the event is over.
FINALLY: For every image you post, please comment on at least one other image, no matter if you think you are qualified to comment or not. You can always give some constructive comments with regard to Colour, Tone, Light, Action, Pattern, Balance, Composition, Visual and Emotional appeal of the image/s. This group is about sharing and learning from each other.”
