What we’re about
Through group discussion of participant’s work, plus that of published authors, these workshops will examine the art and craft of writing about music.
Focus will be on learning to understand and use the full range of literary and journalistic techniques needed to tell captivating stories, deliver incisive criticism and undertake in-depth cultural reporting.
Each session will examine one of the several main genres of music writing.
Participants will also spend time talking about the particular responsibilities that come with writing in the field.
In-class writing prompts will be used to inspire and motivate participants to produce new work.
This workshop is open to writers of all levels of experience.
