Ghosts, Wakes, and What They Teach Us: A Humanist Harvest Gathering
Fall is the season of shorter days, glowing pumpkins, and stories told by firelight. It’s also a season of remembering — the harvest of what has passed, and the reflection on what still gives life meaning.

Join us for a Humanist afternoon of conversation, curiosity, and community as we take on two thought-provoking TED Talks:

• Kevin Toolis – What the Irish Wake Teaches Us About Living and Dying
  What can we learn when a whole community faces death together, instead of hiding it away?
• Coya Paz – Hauntings, Histories, and Campfire Tales: What Ghost Stories Tell Us About Ourselves
  Why do we tell ghost stories, and what do they say about the lives we’re really living?

We’ll watch, discuss, and share our own insights. Expect a mix of history, storytelling, reflection, and a little Halloween spirit — all from a Humanist perspective.
