What we're about

The Inland Empire Atheists and Agnostics is a fun and active non-profit community for Atheists, Agnostics, Skeptics, Humanists, Free-thinkers and others who don't believe in any gods or follow any religions.

We seek to be an active force for good in our community and the lives of non-believers. Every month, our members host fun and welcoming social events, engage in intellectual discussions, and host entertaining and educational speakers in the Riverside, Redlands, and Inland Empire area.

We welcome you to join us and become a part of our community today! To learn more about the leadership of the IEAAH, or become involved as an Organizer, please click Here (https://www.meetup.com/InlandEmpireAtheists/pages/IEAA_Leadership/).

Winter Dog Park Get Together and Lunch

Pat Merritt Dog Park

Your dog is atheist. It's doubtful that your dog is spiritual but not religious. Certainly not any other denominations of any flavor of religion. It is possible they could think you are god-like in their own doggie way. Come to the dog park with the atheists whether you bring your dog or not. We'll watch the happy animals run around and play and we'll get in some good conversation. Wear your bug spray. Bring a drink. Come when you can, leave when you need to. There are no potties for humans. There are little doggie poop bags a plenty.

We're hoping the dogs will be good at a dog friendly restaurant for lunch after, possibly Monty's Good Burger at the Food Lab or Heroes.

NOTE: This is a family friendly event. Dogs not required to attend.
Many of the dogs that will come do play on the large dog side of the park. There is a small dog side as well if your pup would prefer. You don't need to bring a dog to come, though. It's the outdoor camaraderie that counts.

This dog park is nice and shady on a hill with a lovely breeze. It is located roughly on the other side of Mount Rubidoux away from Riverside but NOT the dog park right at the base of Mount Rubidoux. We plan to be at the picnic table closest to the large dog entry gate unless it is already occupied. Throw a lawn chair in your trunk if more than about 8 sign up to come, which is all that will fit on the seats of the picnic tables. Plenty room for more if you have a lawn chair. Bring your dog a water bowl and water if you like. There are hoses there and usually a kiddie pool or community water bowl.

Remember that "dog" is "god" spelled backwards for a reason! The people are friendly and so are the dogs. Can't find us? Text Reb at[masked] day of if you need to.

Adventure Day: OC Zoo and Irvine Regional Park

Irvine Regional Park

Join us for a fun day out at the OC Zoo and Irvine Regional Park! This is a family friendly event that is open to everyone. Irvine Regional Park offers a variety of activities and facilities, including the OC Zoo, an historic train, and hiking trails at a charge of $5 per car for parking, $2 per Zoo ticket for persons age 3 and older, and $6 per person per train ride.
Dogs are allowed on a 6-foot leash. Carpooling to this event is encouraged.
Further details are available here:
https://ocparks.com/irvinepark
and here:
https://www.irvineparkrailroad.com/
We will meet at the entrance to the Zoo around 9:45am (the Zoo opens at 10am, but because parking is non-centralized at the Park, there is sometimes a bit of a walk necessary to get to the area you want to visit).
Those who are interested in hiking some of the longer trails in the park may desire to arrive earlier or stay later. Bike rentals are available, but you are also allowed to bring your own bike(s).
Around noon, we will enjoy lunch together. There are two kiosks that sell relatively good food, or you are welcome to bring your own picnic and blanket. We will eat picnic style, in one of the open areas.

"Ask An Atheist" Outreach at Magnolia Center Marketplace - We're Back!

Magnolia Center Marketplace Riverside

Come join the best Ask An Atheist team in SCA with education and outreach as we meet with the greater community and answer questions from the religious about atheism and Humanism and invite unaffiliated fellow skeptics to join in our community. You DO NOT have to answer or debate anyone at all but you will enjoy the community engagement. It's fun to hang out.

Bring your lawn chair if you'd like to sit and bring some water and some cash to find food from one of the other vendors. This market is still very small but growing compared to the Redlands Market Night but Redlands is now early Saturday mornings. Magnolia Center Marketplace is located adjacent to Riverside Place around the post office.
