- FAR Monthly Dinner for March
Cerise has kindly requested that we have a FAR dinner at the Downtown Oasis: Escape Craft Brewery in downtown Redlands. In the Packing District, they call that shopping area. She says we can order our food and pay for it then join the group at the table outside. They have good pizzas and salads and according to them "ginormous sandwiches" as well as vegetarian options.
We all need to be fully vaccinated and boosted. I hope to see you all there.
And I hope snow season is well over by then!- Jeff P.

- Winter Dog Park Get Together and Lunch
Your dog is atheist. It's doubtful that your dog is spiritual but not religious. Certainly not any other denominations of any flavor of religion. It is possible they could think you are god-like in their own doggie way. Come to the dog park with the atheists whether you bring your dog or not. We'll watch the happy animals run around and play and we'll get in some good conversation. Wear your bug spray. Bring a drink. Come when you can, leave when you need to. There are no potties for humans. There are little doggie poop bags a plenty.
We're hoping the dogs will be good at a dog friendly restaurant for lunch after, possibly Monty's Good Burger at the Food Lab or Heroes.
NOTE: This is a family friendly event. Dogs not required to attend.
Many of the dogs that will come do play on the large dog side of the park. There is a small dog side as well if your pup would prefer. You don't need to bring a dog to come, though. It's the outdoor camaraderie that counts. This dog park is nice and shady on a hill with a lovely breeze. It is located roughly on the other side of Mount Rubidoux away from Riverside but NOT the dog park right at the base of Mount Rubidoux. We plan to be at the picnic table closest to the large dog entry gate unless it is already occupied. Throw a lawn chair in your trunk if more than about 8 sign up to come, which is all that will fit on the seats of the picnic tables. Plenty room for more if you have a lawn chair. Bring your dog a water bowl and water if you like. There are hoses there and usually a kiddie pool or community water bowl.
Remember that "dog" is "god" spelled backwards for a reason! The people are friendly and so are the dogs. Can't find us? Text Reb at[masked] day of if you need to.

- Pub-Like Quiz
Pub Quiz is a quiz of (around) 20 general-knowledge questions answered in teams of up to four people. The winning team gets drinks of their choice; they can choose to save their drink prize for the next Pub Quiz too.
We will meet on the patio at Marisa's Deli. Due to our new, outdoor location, we will be meeting at a slightly different time. Marisa's Deli closes at 8pm, so the timing of the event is designed to avoid pushing their open hours. We will arrive around 5pm, with the Quiz starting by 5:30pm.
We are asking for a $3 donation to pay for the prize and to fund future events. We hope to see you there!
Parking in the Canyon Crest plaza can be tight, so you might want to consider allowing ample time to park and/or carpooling.
If you plan on drinking alcoholic beverages at this event, please be sure you have a designated driver. Don't drink and drive!

- SKEPTICS FORUM: TED TALKS AND TEA
Back by popular demand from our group in[masked] The Skeptics Forum: TED Talks and Tea are sit down dinners hosted by 4 members in their homes and are discussion groups for about 8 people modeled on the European Salons of the 16th century. Each month you will come together with like minded folks beginning with social cocktail time, then watching two preselected TED talks, while having dinner (or lunch) and dessert and sharing your thoughts. These fill up fast and if you are on the waitlist, check back often for updates. Please change your reservation early if you need to so the wait list can progress. Often people on the waitlist move up to confirmed.
Note carefully, the time for each one. Generally, they all occur on the second Saturday of the month but some may be day time. This one will be indoors. Masks are optional but vaccinations are required.
We ask that you have attended at least one public event so we know who's coming into our homes. Can't make a public event prior to this one? Email me. Once you RSVP the address of the event will be sent to you a few days before the event. Please watch your Meetup email notifications for it. All homes are in centrally located Riverside.
Paying members attend at no additional cost. Sign up on https://www.patreon.com/IEAAH to become a member. Non members contribute $10 to help offset some of the costs. If you feel you cannot afford the contribution, you are still welcome to attend. No need to point it out at the event but simply do not drop money in the hat at the event and the club will cover it. The TED Talks will be posted as an addendum here as they become available.
