***LOCATION CHANGE***

We are having our meetup this month at Keystone Sports Review. We are trying out a new venue to have an option when we have a guest speaker with larger turnouts. Walk in to KSR, turn left and go upstairs.

Our next meetup will be on Wednesday, February 18th, from 7–9 p.m. at Keystone Sports Review at 71st and Keystone. Relatively Irrelevant will be giving a presentation titled “How to Use Your Bitcoin Node to be More Private” The presentation will start promptly at 7:30pm.

We’ll discuss the privacy you lose when your wallet relies on public servers or when you look up transactions on public block explorers. We'll then show you how to use your own Bitcoin node to be more private. We'll review some Start9 apps (Bitcoin Core, Electrs, Mempool, LND, AlbyHub) and demo how to privately connect desktop and mobile wallets over Tor to your node so your balances, addresses, and transaction stay off third‑party infrastructure. You’ll leave with a clear threat model and a practical checklist you can apply immediately to reduce information leaks.

If you haven’t been to a meetup yet, we meet on the third Wednesday of every month. Newcomers are always welcome! We’ve been averaging 25–30 guests per meetup, and there’s always a handful of new faces. It doesn’t matter if you’re a longtime Bitcoiner or brand new to the space - everyone is welcome.

Free drinks will be provided by our friends at Megawatt! Megawatt is a Bitcoin mining company that was founded at our meetup. If you’re thinking about getting into mining, check them out at megawatthq.com
