What we’re about
Welcome! This group is for bitcoiners across all experience levels to meet and discuss bitcoin. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month unless otherwise noted for a special event. We mostly get together and socialize but we occasionally have presentations. Past presentations have included: mining at home, hardware wallets, running a full node, among other things.
As a group, we try to be as welcoming as possible to newcomers. Even if you're just curious about bitcoin, please consider attending an event.
We keep it pretty simple - this is a bitcoin only meet up, no discussion of alt coins or trading. We also have a no photo policy to protect the privacy of our attendees.

We've scheduled some great speakers at the Indy Bitcoin Meetup on 10/7 at DeveloperTown! Kicking things off is guest presenter @skot9000, the creator of the Bitaxe project, an open-source miner that anyone can build at home. Come hear how Skot took open-source mining from 0 to 1, and check out the Bitaxe Ultra, the latest version running a BM1366 ASIC hashing at the same efficiency as an S19 XP @ 20J/Th, an unbelievable achievement from Skot and the Open Source Miners United Discord group! We'll have multiple Bitaxes on display & hashing, including a few new customizations from Megawatt.
And, of course, come talk racing strategy and meet driver Adam Gleason during his fireside chat! Learn how he took the unlikely path from radiologist to entrepreneur to race car driver.
In the coming weeks, we'll follow up with your electronic tickets and specific race day details like when to arrive, where to meet at the track, etc. If something in your schedule changes at the last minute, please let us know and we can transfer your ticket to another attendee on the waitlist. *** TC America Race 1 on Saturday starts earlier than normal due to the Indy 8 Hour being such a long race. If you can't make that start time for any reason, we've worked out a deal with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to swap your ticket to Sunday. This needs to be done by September 29th, so please respond to this email if you wish to make a change.
