This is a great opportunity to come along and just tour Quebec City
I LOVE Quebec City! I've been here 3x before and can't wait to go back!

*But you DO need a valid passport!* and make sure it's not expired

and it's MLK weekend! many people will be off on Monday the 19th to save a vacation day

The general plan is:
leave Friday morning 7am, arriving around 7pm - yes, it's a long bus ride
We have a hotel right in the heart of downtown Quebec City near all the bars, restaurants and night life - it's very walkable and safe

SIGHTSEEING: it's up to you to decide what you want to do, there will be a group trip Sunday evening to an Ice Hotel

And a group trip to Domaine Enchanteur on Saturday (read more here: https://www.domaineenchanteur.com/en/index.htm) followed by a group dinner (this is optional)

SKIING: optional, see below

Tuesday we leave around 8am and get home around 8pm

Bus pickup location:

loads up at 6:30am, departs with or without you at 7am
No, you cannot just get yourself there and pay for a room - to join us its bus or bust. (unless we get 44 people signed up and they still have rooms)

More Details:
IKON base pass is blacked out at Le Massif Jan 17/18 but we can get a group discount if we get 20 tickets for just 144 CAD (including tax) or about $104 USD for the day - and you can use the IKON pass Monday

last year we had 50 plus a 10 person waitlist...this should fill up again, so don't wait to RSVP and pay a deposit when it's open to do so or you could miss out

yes, it's a 4 night trip...I heard some comments from last year that it would have been nicer to stay longer with such a long ride there/back
it also allows for 2 days skiing and still do the Domain Enchanteur
and Monday is a US holiday so we hit a lot of traffic on the way back, so hoping to avoid that this time

All rooms have 2 double beds, regardless of # of people in the room
Pricing per person:
single room: $975 (one person in the room)
Double room (2 people in the room, 2 double beds): $650
Triple room (3 people, 2 double beds so someone is sharing): $550
Quad room (4 people, 2 double beds so both beds are shared): $495
*if you sign up for a triple or quad room, you need to have roommates in mind, I won't put strangers together in those room scenarios; you also need to agree that if someone drops out and you can't replace them, that you agree to pay the higher price with fewer people

Price includes: RT bus transportation and tip for the bus driver and 4 nights lodging
it does NOT include any meals or activities

please include your cell # and email address when sending payment - this will only be used for trip coordination and nothing else
refunds for any reason until December 1
Final Balance Due December 1
After December 1 someone needs to take your spot to get a refund (less 5%)
If you drop out the week of the trip, even if someone takes your spot, you only get a 85% refund
Any payments received after Dec 4 are considered late and will add $50
if you drop the day of the trip, you will probably lose you money

The Hotel:

This is an awesome hotel - we've stayed here 3x before and it was great. It's in a great location near bars, restaurants and night clubs, has 2 hot tubs, large indoor pool with waterfall, and the rooms were clean and spacious

The Motorcoach:
Has a restroom to use during the drive, comfortable seats and we can watch movies - it's a LONG drive so be prepared
Drinks and food are allowed on the bus (but we have to keep it clean, if there's a mess above and beyond normal, cleaning fees start at $350 - and guess who pays that...not me...whoever made the mess)
Yes, alcohol is allowed! drink up!
The bus will have 56 seats but I'm limiting this trip to 44 people so we'll have extra space...guaranteed this time (for those that went last time)

Group Dinner Monday Night (optional, extra cost) - at Cafe Du Monde (same as last year for those that were there) - price is $45 USD and includes appetizer, main course and dessert and non-alcoholic drinks. Must decide if doing the dinner or not and pay before January 8. I need your selections by January 8 as well - Menu posted as a pic on this event.
Alcohol will be on individual tabs paid at the end of dinner.

Skiing/Boarding options TO BE FINALIZED:
Sunday/Monday - our motorcoach will go to Le Massif
Le Massif is only on the IKON pass (or buy a day ticket - https://www.lemassif.com/en)
but it's blacked out Jan 17/18 - so I'm working on that
all lift tickets/access are on your own - buy them ahead on the websites
times TBA, probably 8am departure, 3pm return

Sightseeing:
this is all on your own
there are lots of options in the area though like snowmobiling, dog sledding, snow shoeing, other hikes, city hikes, waterfalls, and more
Sunday evening there is an option to visit the Ice Hotel
Saturday there is an option to come with the group to Domaine Enchanteur

2 weeks before the trip I will start a Whatsapp chat for those going - it's not mandatory to join but will be the best option for updates while on the trip
I will always message about my plans Friday and Saturday night if you want to join me and the group, but it's always optional
