Today we're in for a special treat. Our La Jolla Active Walkers member Chas Dye, who has a treasure trove of fascinating information about La Jolla, is treating us to his much-praised La Jolla walking tour.
You'll learn all about the rich history of La Jolla. You'll uncover hidden gems and “Easter Eggs.” You'll find out about sea lions, philanthropists, murderers, and bad ass women. The most enthusiastic reviews are from locals. Even if you grew up in La Jolla, you'll learn at least five new things, even if you grew up here.
We cover approximately 3 leisurely miles and walk about 40 stairs (down). We traverse the heart of the village and highlights of the coast.
