See all- Memorial for ShrinaKaramel, London
It’s with very heavy hearts that we share the tragic news that our lovely friend Shrina has passed away. Many of you knew and loved her, and if you did, you’ll know it was impossible not to. Shrina’s kindness, humour, and genuine warmth touched everyone she met.
We invite you, her vegan family and friends, to join us in honouring her memory and celebrating her life. Together we will remember her beautiful soul, share stories, and support each other through this time.
The memorial will be held on Sunday 28 September at Karamel, one of Shrina's favourite restaurants, and will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
Important note: Shrina loved colourful and vibrant clothing, and always encouraged her friends not to wear black. Please dress in bright, joyful colours as we honour her memory.
We will be raising money in Shrina’s honour for two charities close to her heart:
Alongside the memorial, we are also organising a Walk for Shrina the following weekend.

- London Vegan Social - October 2025The Veg Box Cafe, London
London’s biggest monthly social event is designed for vegans and their friends!
Taking place at The Veg Box Cafe on the first Wednesday of every month, London Vegan Social is the place to eat scrumptious vegan food, drink hard or soft stuff, and make friends.
The next London Vegan Social is taking place on Wednesday October 1, 2025 between 6pm and 10pm. Enter on street level and head straight upstairs! This level is only accessible via a flight of about 14 steps.
The Veg Box Cafe kitchen will be serving up delicious mains, sides, and desserts all night while their bar will be serving libations including cocktails, mocktails, kombucha, wine, beer, soft drinks, and fizz.

The Veg Box Cafe is a 100% vegan eatery serving nutritious and delicious food with a rotating daily menu including lasagne, burgers, tray baked vegetables, salads, lentils, fermented vegetables, sandwiches, and desserts.
Are all the drinks vegan?
Every single drink served at the bar is vegan!
Is there an entry fee?
Entry to London Vegan Social is FREE. Help support the restaurant by purchasing drinks and food. DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN FOOD OR DRINKS. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE WILL THIS BE PERMITTED.

Safety and inclusion
The organiser (Fat Gay Vegan) and the hosting venue will not tolerate oppressive behaviour. Offenders will be told why they are being asked to leave and not return.

🎲 Geekstraveganza is an informal gathering to play board/card games while socialising and enjoying delicious vegan food! We will have a selection of our favourites, and you're welcome to bring any game you want to play.
🤓 Our regulars are always happy to teach rules to newcomers, and the hosts can introduce you to other attendees if you like. Everyone is welcome, no matter your level of “geekiness”: quick & easy games will be on offer as well as more complex ones. Feel free to join us at any time, since new games will start as people arrive.

➡️ Once inside the venue, head for the Bunker room (its secret door is behind the bookcase on the left of the venue's main entrance) and you can't miss us. Look for the hosts if you want to be introduced to the group or would like a suggestion for which games to play.
