    Bring a packed lunch or pick up something locally, at Sainsbury's, Waitrose or Tescos, etc.

    We'll take inspiration from our surroundings, each other and I'll suggest some ideas, themes & offer tips too 😊

    No matter what your skill, join us and express your creativity 😊

    Just £5 suggested donation, to cover the cost of art & writing materials; I provide all the art materials, just bring your imagination 😊

    Join me in Finsbury Park!

    Bring a dish to share of food you love to make or buy, meet new people, learn new recipes & be inspired on your vegan journey!

    We'll gather outside Costa Coffee, Green Lanes, ( a short stroll from Finsbury Park station and bus stops ) from 2pm to 2.15pm, then walk into Finsbury Park & find a nice picnic spot to set up 😊

    Latecomers, head to & wait outside Finsbury Park cafe ( near the children's playground & loos ) then post a comment & I'll come and find you 😊

    We'll set up all the dishes and start eating gone 2.30/2.45, or 3ish 😊

    *Bring a Vegan** homemade, or bought dish, to share 😊

    **For clarity for newbies, that's no meat, fish, dairy, eggs & honey

    *An approximate rule of thumb ( as RSVP numbers vary ) e.g. think 10 or more portions so everyone can try your dish 😊

    *Suggested donation of a £1, to cover cost of serviettes, cutlery, disposable plates and table cloths

    *Please bring serving utensils as needed

    *There's no kitchen access, so food cannot be warmed up

    *Please write your ingredients on a bit of paper & highlight any Allergens for those who have allergies, e.g. "Contains WHEAT" etc.

    If you don't cook, no worries~>

    After over 6 years of organising the Walkabout, I thought it would be a good idea to make a few changes, to re-fresh and add some more Walking to the Walkabout :)

    My idea is we will walk to Brixton, which will enable us to really explore lots of parks on the way to Brixton for a late lunch/dinner :)

    The next GeekstraVEGANza will be at The Spread Eagle, a completely vegan pub in Homerton (Hackney)!

    THE EVENT
    A whole afternoon playing board/card games - as usual, we will have a selection of our favourites, and you're welcome to bring any you want to play. We're always happy to teach rules to newcomers, and the hosts can introduce you to other attendees if you like.

    THE VENUE
    We have a few tables booked in their lovely garden, and they are covered so we'll be good, come rain or shine - but we'll also be able to use tables indoors if they're free.

  • The New Brixton Vegan Walkabout!

    NEW ROUTE

    After over 6 years of organising the Walkabout, I thought it would be a good idea to make a few changes, to re-fresh and add some more Walking to the Walkabout :)

    My idea is we will walk to Brixton, which will enable us to really explore lots of parks on the way to Brixton for a late lunch/dinner :)

    PLEASE NOTE;
    Bring Water & Vegan snacks for the Walk :)

    We'll gather outside Farringdon rail station

    11.15ish
    Hop on first train to Herne hill
    , change there & hop on a train to Sydenham Hill.

    11.45/12ish;
    We'll wait at Sydenham Hill for a few minutes if anyone has said they're meeting us there, then head off....

    We will explore;
    Dulwich Woods
    Sydenham Hill Woods
    Dulwich park
    Bel air park
    Brockwell Park

    There is a nice cafe in Dulwich park for a rest; they have vegan cider, tea, coffee, some snacks I think are vegan and there maybe something vegan on the menu.

    We'll arrive in Brixton about 4/5 maybe 6pm depending on how fast we walk, what we explore, etc :)
