3-4 miles post work walk in Cheviot Hills, Century City, and adjacent areas
Details
Rain will cancel, right now it's supposed to rain on New Year's Eve night, but I'll update by Wednesday afternoon if need to cancel
Meet at the sign next to the restroom building at 5:30 l will leave by 5:35. We will walk for around 4 miles, a little over 1 hour depending on distance and speed. I might be expanding on my usual route this time.
The pace will be a moderate social stroll, please no complaints, rabbits or slow pokes. Since we are walking through neighborhoods, I want to walk as a loose group. We will obey traffic laws, so people can regroup at stop lights/signs. I will wait very briefly before major turn's, but it's up to the walker to stay with or within eyesight of me.
We will be walking on sidewalks along major streets with heavy traffic and side streets with less traffic and street lights. The sidewalks are not in good condition and we are walking at night, in the dark. Use your own judgement and be aware of the risks of walking in LA. I recommend a small light to see the sidewalk and to avoid tripping and falling. I am not responsible for any accidents, injuries or if anyone gets lost or separated from the group. Wear something that reflects light
There is one very very small section that has a hill (heart pumping) going up. The rest is mostly flat. We will be walking on sidewalks.
