This group is the counterpart to our other group, The Witches' Conclave, where we teach classes and lead rituals. Here, other practitioners of the magical arts can sign up to host classes, workshops, and rituals of their own to be hosted in our shop, Malliway Bros.

Slavic Native Faith: Slava! Book Launch and Veles' Night Ritual
Malliway Bros. Spells, Charms, & Potions, 1407 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL, USChicago native and first-generation Serbian American Polytheistic Witch and ordained Priestess Anna Urošević Applegate is delighted to discuss her just-released book Slava! Slavic Paganism and Dual-Faith Folk Ways (Llewellyn Worldwide), highlighting how Chicago is a Slavic super city, what Slavic Native Faith is, what Dual-Faith Tradition is, and what an example of a contemporary Slavic Native Faith ritual to the god Veles looks like in her Serbian culture-informed devotional practice.
Whether you're of Slavic heritage or not, come learn about living folk magick traditions of the South Slavs and participate in a devotional ritual to the chthonic Deity, Veles, on one of His prime nights of the year. Veles is the Shepherd of the Dead, Master of Wild Animals, Lord of Magic, Bringer of Wealth, and Bestower of Creative Inspiration.A $15 Love Offering is requested but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Born of Sea Foam: Invoking Aphrodite
Malliway Bros. Spells, Charms, & Potions, 1407 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL, USBorn of sea foam, Aphrodite calls us like the push and pull of the tides. This class blends mythology, modern practices, and ritual to help participants build or refresh their personal relationship with the Greek goddess of beauty and love. In this workshop, we will
- Talk about Aphrodite as she is portrayed in mythology
- Look at modern applications of how folks devote themselves to Aphrodite, both from research and stories of personal practice
- Discuss how queer identity and gender expansiveness is deeply tied into Aphrodite's lore and being.
- At the end, we will perform a ritual to call on Aphrodite to crash her loving energy into us like the ocean's waves.
This is hosted by Storm of The Storm's Eye, a long-time devotee of Aphrodite.
You are welcome to bring offerings to the class altar (which you bring home after), but it's not required.Tickets are $20 and can be purchased HERE.
