Welcome to our Meetup page!! We are a group of bright, active, fun-loving, young-at-heart people from the Peel (Mandurah) district and surrounding areas, who range in age from 45 to over 60. This group was established in 2014 by caring people that wished to create opportunities for like-minded people to meet together and enjoy a variety of social activities. Over time the leadership has changed but the concept remains the same.
Our group is friendly and come from all walks of life, with a variety of interests, and we envisage offering both activities you can enjoy, as well as opportunities for you to suggest or host activities yourself. Our aim is to create a wide range of social events in a fun, friendly, safe and engaging environment. A key ingredient to a successful group is member participation! Members are encouraged to join in regularly with events, and once you get to know us, you are bound to feel welcome at any activity!
You are welcome to join us if you think this is a group with whom you can engage and develop friendships. However, we are NOT a dating agency, and have strict expectations around contacting other members without their approval.
Our activities are generated mainly by member interest, and have included Coffee Mornings, Sundowners, live music, theater, relaxation, concerts, picnics, camping, dancing and weekends away.
Our events are based mainly in the Peel (Mandurah) region, but we also travel further afield. We accept members from Mandurah and surrounding areas. We welcome all, 45 years and over, both solo or partnered, who are interested in building friendships with like-minded people. Bring your good sense of humour, interest in, and acceptance of, others and a desire to participate!
Membership fees are $8, payable BY ONLINE BANK TRANSFER when you join (Bank details are on Question 3 of the Membership application), and then due annually the following July, which helps cover the cost of the Meetup Platform. To join, you must be willing to provide a RECENT head shot of yourself with your request to join.
