Meditations for Messy Times: Finding the Freedom Everyone Needs
KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTER TEXAS, 1875 Laws St., Dallas, TX, USSometimes when we look around, we feel like everything is a mess.
The world, our life, our workplace, our home—messiness can appear in all sorts of ways. It can be overwhelming and leave us susceptible to mental agitation.
But anything can become fuel for growth if we know how to use it! No matter how big a mess we are dealing with, we can keep a calm, happy mind. We can approach the situation with resolve and strength. Join us on Sundays to learn how to cultivate the good qualities that are needed to transform the messier aspects of life into spiritual growth.

Stress. How often does this unpleasant experience arise for you? With the practice of meditation it can be less often - much less. Truly, there is no need to stress, and we are not obligated to feel stress. But how do we calm our mind?
Join us for this series of weekly meditation classes to gain insight into what we can do about stress. It is as simple as recognizing it, reducing it, and abandoning it. Everyone can develop this wisdom, and with meditation we will be able to make our mind calmer. We look forward to sharing these meaningful techniques with you.

Basic Buddhist View and Practice
KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTER TEXAS, 1875 Laws St., Dallas, TX, USMeditation Classes
Every path we take unfolds step by step. The first steps are the most important, because if we don't take them, we can't go anywhere! But if we make good preparations and take our first steps with confidence, our journey's success is guaranteed.
Inner spiritual paths are the same. We need a basic foundation to ensure we make good progress. Lamrim means the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment. In this series of classes we will meditate on a beautiful and traditional poem that highlights the Lamrim, the stages of the spiritual life of a Kadampa practitioner.
Everyone is welcome.

Moving From Doubt to Confidence: Day Retreat
Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center, 1206 W Fm 1382, Cedar Hill, TX, USMaking the Shift from Just Getting By to Walking the Path with Purpose:
A Day Retreat at Dogwood Canyon Audubon CenterJoin us for one of our highly popular nature center day retreats! Get out of the city, slow down, and enjoy a uniquely meaningful shift in perspective. Learn how to rely upon practical wisdom and meditation to increase your confidence, and to align your daily activities with your spiritual life goals.
With so many challenges and disturbances in life, wouldn't it be great to have a sense of strength? The great Buddhist meditator Shantideva said:I should maintain self-confidence in three things:
My Dharma practice, my Dharma activities, and overcoming my own delusions. For thousands of years Buddhist meditators have practiced in this way. By learning these methods and applying effort, we can overcome our own inner and outer obstacles, too.
The day's schedule is structured so that you can relax and peacefully enjoy nature between meditations.
